Rocco Carzo IV

Founder and Lead Instructor

Rocco was born and raised in Media, Pa. He began playing hockey locally at IceWorks in Aston, starting with the Delco Phantoms, eventually working his way up to tier 1 AAA with the Little Flyers, while also attending and playing for Cardinal O’Hara. At age 16, he was drafted by and began playing for the DesMoines Buccaneers in the USHL. Following two years in DesMoines, he earned a scholarship to play Division 1 hockey for the University of Massachusetts Amherst (Hockey East). He played four seasons at UMass, captaining the team his final year, graduating with a degree in Kinesiology. He immediately signed his first professional contract with the Florida Everblades, and spent the next seven years playing professionally in North America. He earned numerous call ups to the American Hockey League (AHL), with stints with the Anaheim Ducks and New York Islanders farm teams. He has been coaching youth players for the past four off-seasons, including private and semi private lessons, planning and running numerous camps and clinics, and most recently creating RC4 Hockey. He has coached multiple tournament AAA select teams throughout the off-seasons.

Bryce Aneloski

Born in Pekin, Illinois, Bryce played amateur hockey in Illinois for Team Illinois and Chicago Young Americans program. He played junior hockey for Cedar Rapids Roughriders in the USHL before going on to play Division 1 at University of Nebraska, Omaha. Drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the 2010 NHL Draft (7th Round 196th overall), Bryce played professionally in both the ECHL and AHL for 5 seasons. He retired from professional hockey in 2018, and was named KC MAVS Peewee A1 Head Coach (2018-2019 Season). Currently he owns and runs BA Hockey and KC Elite Hockey out of Kansas City, and has been a huge influence in the creation of RC4 Hockey. Bryce brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and passion to his coaching.

Andrew Romano

 

Andrew was born and raised in Drexel Hill, Pa, and grew up playing for local teams such as the Little Flyers and Junior Flyers. He also attended Lasalle College High School, playing there for two season before leaving to play for the Johnstown Tomahawks in the NAHL. After two seasons with the Tomahawks, he was recruited to attend and play for Division III powerhouse, Suny-Geneseo. He played there for 4 seasons, amassing a whopping 172 points, all while leading the ENTIRE NCAA DIII in points his senior year with 52. He was an All-American his final two years with the Knights, and leaves the school as the 4th all time leading scorer in history. He has gone on to earn himself a contract with the AA Team for the New York Rangers, the Maine Mariners of the ECHL, where he is currently in his rookie season. He has been with RC4 Hockey for the past two summer, and is a favorite with our kids at our camps.

Kyle Mckenzie

Kyle was born and raised in Aston, PA, playing most of his youth hockey in the Philadelphia area. He eventually made his way to the USHL, playing for parts of three seasons with the Dubuque Fight Saints, helping them to two Clark Cup titles! His winning pedigree didn’t stop there, as his Providence College Friars won the NCAA Division 1 National Championship during his sophomore season. After four years of patrolling the blue line for the Friars, he signed with the Worcester Railers, who are the minor league affiliate of the New York Islanders. He has been playing professionally for the last 3 seasons now, and has just recently started to get back into coaching. We are excited to have Kyle on staff with RC4 Hockey, as he brings invaluable experience at some of the highest levels, and knows what it takes to be a leader and a winner!

John Scott Dickson

John Scott was born and raised in Scarborough, Ontario. He played youth hockey locally, before moving on to the Ontario Hockey Leagues’ Windsor Spitfires. He spent 5 years with the Spitfires, leading the team at Captain and Top Scorer his last year. From there, he took his talents to Canadian University Powerhouse, The University OF New Brunswick, where he played another 5 years, winning multiple Championships. His final year, he led the team in scoring, which led to an opportunity to join the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League, signing his first Pro Contract. He spent 6 years playing Pro hockey between the ECHL and AHL, eventually retiring and moving right into a coaching position with the Missouri Mavericks of the ECHL, where he coached our own Rocco Carzo. He was head coach with the Mavericks for 3 years, coaching many future NHLers like Carter Verhaghe, Tanner Fritz, and Ross Johnston. He now resides in Kansas City with his wife and 3 kids, and helps with numerous camps and clinics in the area, as well as holding the position of Hockey Director of the Kansas City Jr. Mavs.

Marcus Dickerson

Marcus comes to RC4 Hockey after a 4 year Junior Hockey career in the Ontario Hockey League, playing over 150 games with the Mississauga Steelheads. Growing up in West Deptford, NJ, he played locally for the Little Flyers because earning an invite to play in the top junior league in Canada. He is currently going back to school, and studying to get his Masters Degree in Business management. Marcus brings energy, and a great skill set to all of our camps and clinics. His skating ability and innovative ways to train kids always have the kids working hard, and challenging themselves!

Chris Blango

Chris is a former student of RC4 Hockey. He began with us when he was playing for the Philadelphia Little Flyers U18 team, which were runner-ups at the USA Hockey Nationals that year. Chris led the team in Defensemen points, pacing their high powered offense. He spent a year playing juniors across 3 leagues; NCDC, NAHL, and EHL. He eventually earned himself a scholarship to play NCAA Division 3 hockey at Buffalo State, where he is currently a freshman and is LEADING the team in points by a defenseman!

Ryan Galt

Ryan has been helping with RC4 camps and clinics for the last year, teaming up with Coach Carzo while playing for the Kansas City Mavericks. Ryan brings an extensive hockey background to our team! Growing up in Omaha, Nebraska, he rose through the ranks of youth hockey before making the move to Kansas City to play tier 1 hockey for the storied Russell Stover organization. He played two seasons for their Midget team before making the jump to the USHL, playing two seasons for the Des Moines Buccaneers. He eventually earned a scholarship to play Division 1 hockey for his hometown school, the University of Nebraska Omaha Mavericks. He went on to play all four years there, eventually cracking into Pro Hockey with the Kansas City Mavericks. He just finished up his rookie season. Ryan has worked extensive with the youth of Omaha, helping coach and run many MavX camps and clinics, who trained over 300 kids every summer. He brings a wealth of training techniques and methods to the RC4 Hockey team.
