Camp Layout:

Morning Ice Session: Campers will be SPLIT BY POSITION. Each ice session will have a specific aspect of their position(forward/Defense) that will be focused on, and implemented through various drills and exercises. All campers will be split on the ice by age/ability. Forwards will have their own session, and Defense their own as well.

Afternoon Ice Session: Campers will be SPLIT BY AGE/ABILITY. Forwards will be mixed with defensemen of the same age, and we will structure drills that each positions’ was taught and implemented in the morning session. It will give the campers a chance to utilize what they learned earlier, in game like scenarios alongside the others. (Ex: Breakouts, D zone, Regroups, Etc).

Defensive Skills Taught:

Breakouts, Regroups, Defensive Skating Skills, Blue Line Offense, Net Front Abilities, Shot Blocking, Gap/Pinching, Special Teams, Small Are Work, Active Sticks, Creating Offense off Rush

Forward Skills Taught:

Breakouts, Tight Area Skills, Net Front Abilities, Tipping Pucks, Rebounds, Goal Scoring, Cycling, Creating Offense Off Rush, D Zone Habits, Special Teams, Shot Blocking

OFF ICE:

We will have 4 workouts throughout the week in the RC4 Hockey Training Facility. We will structure the workouts to suit their ages/experience levels in that type of setting. They will learn new ways of training, how to properly train, and why we train the way we do.

We will not only be going through workouts, but we will be teaching the girls HOW to train specifically for hockey, WHY we train the way we do, and how it will benefit them on the ice. ALL EXERCISES will be performed under the watchful eye of TRAINED professionals, and will always be age/experience appropriate exercises.
